In some cases, cheap health insurance means paying a larger amount out of each check, but it is still cheaper than if you were to go out and buy a policy on your own with the benefit of being in a group plan through your employer.
Where to find cheap health insurance
There are some ways you can get cheap health insurance when you cannot get it through work. One way would be to join your local chamber of commerce if you have a home based business or if you are providing a service through self employment. Though not all of them have cheap health insurance that you can buy into, but some do. You can also see if you can join a union that would admit you, and then see if they have any type of cheap health insurance that you get as part of being in the union and paying your dues.
